Commissioner's Corner

Statement from the Commissioner,

I want to welcome you all to the 2009-2010 weekend hoops season. As we enter our 14th year of playing ball together our league has grown from 20 players playing basic pickup to roughly 170 players competing in a 16-team league. The success of the league has been attributable to our love for playing basketball and the dynamic personalities of those that play each week. I thank you all for the strong word of mouth and your commitment to the league.

This year we will continue to use the web site to strengthen our weekend hoops community, to facilitate communications among teammates and to minimize the number of emails that need to be circulated.

I ask that you all give the rules a quick read to prevent any conflicts during the season and let me know if any additional rules come to mind. We are on the honor system as far as the enforcement of these rules. Please try to be mature if conflicts arise and handle them on your own. Put yourself in the other person's shoes before losing your cool. Remember we are all here to have fun and get some exercise. With that said PLAY BALL and have a good season.
